  1. I agree with Freeman on the principle of the matter he discusses. But, there is consideration that should be made to highlight African-American history because it has been dismissed for so many years in main stream culture. I don’t see African-American History month as a substitute for it being taught as part of cumulative history. It should be a focus so those raised without prior knowledge can experience the totality of history.
