The Great Exchange: Christ’s Life for Yours

with one comment

While reflecting on Scripture yesterday in anticipation of Good Friday, God reminded me again of The Great Exchange, where Jesus, by His death, says, “My life for yours.” For those who trust Christ, He takes our sin, our curse, our judgment, our condemnation, and we receive His righteousness, His presence, His goodness, His Spirit, and His promises. For God has told us,

“He made him who knew no sin to be sin for us in order that in Him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Cor.5:21)

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree” (Gal.3:13)

“Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God” (1 Pet.3:18)

Christ’s life for yours. May this be incredibly beautiful and wonderful news for your soul today.
