Russell and Duenes

This commercial says far more about us than it probably intends. Yes, it’s funny…and if we think about it, too close to the truth for comfort. As McCluhan said, “The medium is the message.”

  3. Funny stuff. The conclusion, “It’s time for a phone to save us from our phones … designed to get you in, and out, and back to life” is a little confusing. On one hand there is something we need to be saved from. But the proposed solution involves an allegedly more efficient phone? That would just let us do more, not do the same in less time — which I think has been the trend with all technology since the Wheel was invented. Getting In/Out/Back requires self-control, not better technology.
